What’s this project all about?

If you’re not famous, your story is not carefully chronicled for future generations, but rather is passed on in oral tradition, with its many subtle changes and embellishments and its ultimate limitation – the demise of the repository of that knowledge. This, therefore, is an attempt to richly and accurately record one ordinary but very important family – my family – I hope you enjoy it.

It is centred on Harry and Beattie Divall, but includes links to the ‘building-block’ families (the Warmans, the Finns and the Hunts) their contemporary families (the Gibbons, the Evans) and leads on into the future families (the Clements, the Colwells, the Cheynes).
